Catholic School Week

Monday
We kicked it off yesterday with mass. It was a beautiful mass. The fourth grade class preformed a small poem. On Saturday 7th and 8th grader were started putting up their poster on their door. I thought their should have been a cut off time for posters. Than my class would have won the spirit stick again. My class did a great job last year and this year two. They door looks great but the other doors look great too. I wonder who is going to get the spirit stick.
At 2:30 we had a pep rally and of course my class was the only one that was ready for it. We took the spirit stick again. Fifth Grade Rules..I am so proud of my kids. They did a great job.

Actor visiting the School

Exciting Day Today

Today my school had a visitor, an actor, from a show playing at the majestic. My kids had an experience. He came in yesterday to look at the school because he use to be a student at St. Cecilia. I thought it was so cool to have him come back to visit and spend the morning with us. He is musical actor. He perfromed a song for us that was cool. My students were so excited to have a real actor come and visit the school they wanted to sing for him. They had the chance to perform in front of a real actor. The song they performed was the last song form Into the Woods, Jr., a play they performed in November. They also performed the fan dance which is being prepare for catholic school week (Jan. 27-Feb. 3). I will put a picture on later of the students and the actor. I forgot his name so don't ask me. The morning was great. Thank you God for the gift today.

Monika

In June of 2007 my family and I found out about Monika. Monika was a surprise but a great one. It has given life to all of us. My mother and father are having a great time with Monika. I get jealous because they get to spend more time with her. I get excited knowing I will have a day off because it gives me a chance to go see my Monika. This year was our first year to spend Christmas with Monika and it was great even thought we got to see her for a while. We only had until 5:00pm with Monika. We were all excited to spend time with her. I can't wait for the next time we get to spend time with her. Our family is have the best time with Monika.

Madonna- Bedtime Stories

Joy

I love that I can talk to my mother today. I never would have thought that I was going to be able to keep the relationship with my mother. If you would have told me five years ago that I was going to able to talk to my mother and share my life with her I would have never believed you. My mother is in my everyday life. I would not be able to live one day without her. I thank God for what he has given me. Several years ago I started praying that I my mother would be able to accept me for who I am. I had the help of an angel on my side. My sister Ruby has helped my mother see that I am still her son no matter how I live my life. I am happy with whom I have become and I would not change it for anyone. I will be the writer, reader, lover, brother, and son.

Lights in the Sky

I enjoy walking my dog. It gives me time to reflect on my life. When I am not reflecting I enjoy looking at the stars. The stars remind me of my youth when I use to go outside in my counrty town and stare at the stars.
